Henry Dwyer Racing – Tuesday Preview

Hamilton

Race 4 – Friday At Five

Jockey – Sarah Field

1600m – Barrier 5

Seven-year-old mare Friday At Five looks to bounce back when she heads to Hamilton this afternoon. The daughter of Zoustar was solid when beaten a length at Stawell two starts back before fading late in very heavy going at Warrnambool three weeks ago. In an all-apprentice race, Sarah Field can let her mare stride in the early parts, able to land on or outside the speed heading into the home bend.

Just six runners engaged here and expecting Nevra Queen to challenge Friday At Five for the lead early on, while Bow Ribbon and Tauri can find the trailing positions just behind. Cosmic will drift back and likely be one of the last turning for home, resuming today from a short break. She wasn’t far away first-up at this trip last preparation, look for her to be closing late. Hardest to beat. Tauri will appreciate the heavy conditions today, coming back in grade from Warrnambool last start. Each way claims. So too Bow Ribbon; one win from eighteen tries the obvious knock on her.

Friday At Five is back in grade for today’s race and only needs to run up to her effort at Stawell to be going close here. She should find the front without spending too many tickets and have a kick left for the run home. Strong claims.

Currently, Friday At Five is a $5 chance in the market.
