TIGER OF MALAY X COURSESHEWILL (C)

Tiger of Malay, a son of Extreme Choice, is one of the more promising stallions whose first yearlings have graced the sale ring this year. We all know the exploits of Extreme Choice’s progeny on the racetracks, however unfortunately due to fertility issues there isn’t a lot of them around. Tiger Of Malay was an exceptional 2YO winning the $1M Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes defeating Converge & placing in the Group 1 JJ Atkins Stakes. Tiger Of Malay trained on to win the sire-making Group 3 Up And Coming Stakes, also won by Snitzel, Fastnet Rock and Exceed And Excel, carrying a remarkable 61kgs giving his rivals up to 8kgs.

The colt is from a very fast daughter of stakes-winning Anabaa mare Corsaire. Like her mum, Courseshewill was an early season 2yo winner (twice) before being competitive in stakes races, including finishing 4.5L behind Exhilarates and Dubious in the 2yo Magic Millions Classic.  The colt looks as his pedigree suggests – fast and early. He’ll be broken in straight away and we’ll look to give him several short preparations aimed at having him ready for the early 2yo races.
