Henry Dwyer Racing – Saturday Preview

Morphettville

Race 7 – World’s My Oyster

Jockey – Jacob Opperman

1200m – Barrier 2

Four-year-old mare World’s My Oyster is first-up since June when she races at Morphettville this afternoon. The daughter of Charge Forward enjoyed an excellent debut preparation, winning her first two starts before a sound effort in the wet at Swan Hill, sent to the paddock thereafter. A pair of jumpouts this time in suggest the mare has returned in good order, jockey Jacob Opperman able to let his galloper settle where comfortable from good barrier, likely just behind the speed heading into the home bend.

Speed is good with Taking Omaha and Autumn Frost to roll across from their wide draws, while expect Florey and Fluttering Ruby to punch through from nearer the inside and find forward positions on settling. Even affair. There Goes My Hero went back to last from a wide gate at Gawler first-up, finding nothing but roadblocks in the home straight when beaten just over a length. He can settle a little closer from the inside today and comes here fitter second-up. One of the main chances. Florey was a comfortable fresh winner at Strathalbyn on the back of a pair of good jumpouts and could be ready to go on with the job here. Strong claims. Each way chances to Fluttering Ruby and Layin’ Up in a competitive event.

World’s My Oyster will improve from the run today and likely be better suited over slightly further next time out. She should receive the right run throughout and ability alone has her right in this. Strong claims.

Currently, World’s My Oyster is a $6 chance in the market.
